Born on April 27, 1932, in Milan. Since 1940 in Rome, with his family. Liceo classico Visconti. During this period: painting, sculpture, some exhibition. Then Accademia di Belle Arti, Toti Scialoja as Maestro: diploma with full marks and honourable mention, 1956. Collaboration to many professional short movies. Art books design. Experimental form of theatre and happenings together with Pino Pascali. A lot of “libri oggetto” ( books of artist), very often exhibited, and other kinds of books printed for the author (few copies). Since 1965 he devoted himself to sculpture. Collaborations with a group of young artists: someone of them became very well known, as Jannis Kounellis. Voyages to visit museums, art galleries and the most important exhibitions; or to watch performances; or to attend lectures on advanced theatre and modern art. Long stays in Paris, Philadelphia and New York: fellowships. He had the opportunity to meet many of the great Masters of the modern art. He spends all his money to buy books, particularly books on modern art. (“Your greed!”, Gianna said.) For a long period his studio was in Rome, but in the last few years he lives in Perugia, against his wish. Wife: Aloysia.
